It was announced back in 2007 that a deal had been made for a new Dark Shadows film, with Johnny Depp attached, but the project has been delayed a number of times. The most recent projection for the start of production had been January but now comes word, via Deadline Hollywood, that production will finally creak to life in April, 2011.

I’m hopeful the schedule holds this time.
